HOW TO SAVE THE AMERICAN ECONOMY
First, we must recognize that the only way government creates jobs in the private sector is when government gets out of the way of business. Most jobs have not gone overseas as a result of too high wages. They have gone to other countries as a result of over regulation from our government. I have spent most of my working life as a small businessman fighting over-regulation. We must elect people who understand, first hand, the negative effects of over-regulation. People who have worked for regulatory agencies or have spent their lives outside of management or ownership in business should not be considered for Congressional seats while our nation is in economic crisis.
Most people don’t realize it, but after a law is passed, the bureaucrats then write the regulations without any approval from Congress. This means that the regulations may not, and often do not, resemble the law. We must change this by setting up a committee with the purpose of reviewing all the regulations to see if they comply with the originating law. Where they don’t, the committee must have the authority to remove the regulation.
Illegal aliens are a drain on our finances. They use our hospitals emergency rooms, the most expensive part of the hospital, as their doctors’ offices, and don’t pay for it. The courts require that the hospitals take care of them. The cost is passed on to the consumer in the form of higher medical costs which is passed on as higher insurance costs. This results in more Americans not being able to afford insurance and thus the cycle continues. Instead of Obamacare, why not get rid of the illegal aliens and cut the cost of medical care. Additionally, Obamacare must end now.
We must end our dependence for population growth by bringing in large numbers of aliens. In 2000 we had 31,100,000 legal aliens in the United States. Ten years later we rose to 40,500,000, that’s a thirty percent gain in population and we are only talking about the ones here legally. The top five sources are 1. Mexico, 2. China, 3. Philippines, 4. India., and 5. Vietnam. The estimates of the number of illegal aliens range from twelve million to twenty-five million. The estimated cost to America is estimated by Rice University professors to be over nineteen billion dollars per year. If we are going to be serious about saving our country and getting our citizens back to work, we must cut legal immigration and stop illegal immigration. To get back on track we must put Americans first.
To get rid of the illegal aliens we must have mandatory pre-employment e-verify at no cost to the employer. Then, when caught, the illegal alien must forfeit their assets. If someone is caught harboring an illegal alien they must forfeit their assets. If someone employs an illegal alien then they would also lose their assets. To enforce the law we could allow individuals to sue employers of illegal aliens and receive half of the assets retrieved. There would be protections for the employer set up, such as the accuser having to pay double the legal fees of the employer if the accuser loses. I more labor is needed we could set up a program that would be administrated by participating employment agencies who would be responsible for the employee, pay tuition for their children, and pay for their health children. In 2010 I wrote HB 2878 that would have solved this issue.
Why are we borrowing almost forty-five billion dollars when we don’t have enough revenue to pay it back and giving it to countries, many of whom do not even like us. Where is this going? How about $1.3 billion to Russia, $1.2 billion to Sudan, $963 million to Pakistan, and $8333 million to Jordan just to name a few. Who would go to their banker and ask to borrow money to give to a neighbor who didn’t like them. That would be just stupid. Why not stop doing stupid things?
If we don’t stop abortions we are going to continue to lose our population that is derived from our generational Americans. This means that we are subject to going the way of many European Countries and lose our American traditions and laws. Besides that, it is just wrong to kill babies without as much as a trial. Why not pass a Constitutional amendment allowing each State to give citizenship to children upon the splitting of cells and, thus, afford them the protections given to all citizens under the Constitution including a trial before being executed.
Taxes are a burden. All personal income tax is used to pay interest on the debt. Let’s cut spending until we have paid off our debt and then end the IRS and the personal income tax.
I have fought against unfair taxation for years, not as a legislator but as a grassroots activist. I have a strong business background and have served our nation in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. If you elect someone who has done nothing then the person you elect may or may not do anything. But if they wanted to do something, why have they waited until now to do something? However, as the only candidate running who has done something, you know that I will continue to work hard for Texas and America.
